Adrian Davis

Adrian Davis is a Co-Founder and Managing Member of Prime Partners Engineering, a minority-owned engineering and project management consulting firm based in the Mid-Atlantic, and headquartered in the heart of District Columbia. Since co-founding PPE, Adrian has played a central role in establishing and scaling the firm’s presence in the regional utility and energy market, where it is recognized for technical excellence, reliable delivery, and a commitment to equitable infrastructure development.
Adrian brings deep technical and program management expertise to his leadership role. He holds an MSc, an MBA, and the PMP® credential, and regularly represents PPE as a technical advisor and panelist on topics including solar interconnection and energy equity. In recognition of his leadership and industry impact, Adrian was awarded Washington Business Journal 40 Under 40, Class of 2026. Under his leadership, PPE has been featured in Utilities Business Review and serves as a Corporate Gold Sponsor of the American Association of Blacks in Energy (AABE) scholarship program. Adrian is also actively engaged in mentorship, workforce development, and university partnerships, supporting the next generation of engineering and energy professionals.

Kenneth Plater

Ken Plater is a Co-Founder and Managing Member of Prime Partners Engineering, bringing more than 15 years of leadership experience across the power utility and engineering consulting industry. He has played a central role in building and scaling PPE into a respected consultancy serving major utility clients throughout the Mid-Atlantic region, while guiding the firm’s operational strategy, technical framework, and long-term growth.
Ken’s career includes leadership roles in both consulting and utility environments, including nearly a decade at PEPCO Holdings Inc., where he progressed to Supervisor of New Business Engineering and supported major infrastructure projects such as the DC Wharf, DC United Soccer Stadium, DC Streetcar Project, and the District’s first community solar installation. As Managing Member of PPE, Ken oversees engineering delivery, quality assurance, and contract execution while championing workforce development, diversity, and community engagement. Under his leadership, PPE has been recognized as a Top 100 Minority Business Enterprise, named to the INC. 5000 list of America’s Fastest-Growing Private Companies, and he was honored by Utility Business Review as a Top Utilities Consultant.
