This is one of the things we do best
Of all renewable energy generation, solar PV is expected to grow the fastest from now to 2050. With excellence at the center of every project, Prime Partners Engineering’s project team has a proven track record of providing superior technical consultation and project management at every aspect of a project’s lifecycle.
1.8MW Paradise at Parkside Community Solar Interconnection
– New Columbia Solar
Prime is responsible for providing end to end project management service to New Columbia Solar for their Paradise at Parkside project solar interconnection to the public utility (Pepco). This 1.8MW solar interconnection is a “solar for all” project that consists of twenty-four (24) individual interconnections; which consists of interconnecting to 24 separate existing pad-mounted transformers to provide URD services. This community solar project will provide an opportunity for residents of low-income housing subscribers at the Paradise at Parkside, and off campus residents to benefit from renewable energy programs. Prime’s project team performed the following project tasks: project planning and feasibility analysis, coordination with Pepco, Pepco’s scope of work and cost estimate, Pepco design and permit management, structural facility design (SFD) management, development of SFDs for the project, Pepco cost letter and invoice management, overall project tracking and reporting, facilitate weekly project update meetings, constructability review and bidding, construction inspections, construction management and process improvements.
Howard University (HU) NEM Solar Project – Volt Energy
Prime Partners Engineering is responsible for providing end to end technical and project management services to Volt Energy for the Phase 2 HU NEM Solar Project. This proposed phase 2 NEM Project is projected to produce approximately 1.7MW of solar generation which will be consumed directly back into the HU campus. The phase 2 portion of this project will service 7 HU campus buildings of which 5 out of the 7 buildings are being fed behind HU’s unique high-voltage loop. The additional 2 locations are being serviced by Pepco’s network system. This project will provide HU’s historical campus with a new clean and environmentally friendly alternative source of energy. Prime’s project team was tasked with performing a technical review of the proposed NEM system to determine project planning and feasibility analysis, high-cost procurement items, budgeting and the project’s timeline. Prime coordinated and facilitated project meetings with Pepco’s technical review team to discuss load balancing challenges on the high-voltage loop, as well as the protection schemes and monitoring devices required to interconnect to Pepco’s network system. The project is scheduled to be completed in the third quarter of 2021.
